It's a very exciting week here at the Centre! Earlier this week a group of us went to the V&A Museum in London to see the Grace Kelly exhibition - a treat indeed. Later in the week five of our guides are off to Chawton to follow in Jane's footsteps and of course on Saturday - drum roll please - it is the first ever Jane Austen Festival Grand Regency Ball! I will tell you all about that next month. For now, enjoy these pickings . . . .

Now the University of Oxford and King’s College London have launched a joint project entitled ‘Jane Austen’s Fiction Manuscripts.’ It’s a digital resource reuniting all the known surviving manuscripts of Austen’s fiction. Wonderful.

 Get Crafty!
Creative Carmelina ‘Creative Carmelina’ found an old copy of ‘Sense and Sensibility’ in her library and was inspired to photocopy some of the pages and make a collage. I thought this might inspire some of you to make something wonderful too. How about making some Austen bunting or covering an otherwise dull ring binder?
