Group Visitors to the Centre
Your Jane Austen experience begins with a warm welcome and introductory talk from one of our knowledgeable and experienced guides.
The introduction takes place, on the second floor of this attractive Georgian town house, in a classically decorated period room.
Following the talk your group is shown to our exhibition where their visit continues, unguided, at their own pace.
If there are any questions on Jane Austen or Bath our guides, who are always close at hand, will be very happy to answer them.

Group Walking Tours
There is nothing that our specialist walking tour guides like better, than to show off our beautiful Georgian city, to interested visitors.
Let us take you to places mentioned in Jane Austen’s letters and her novels, Northanger Abbey and Persuasion.
Perhaps a more general history of Bath is required; whatever your group’s wishes we have the tour for you.
With our private walks you can specify the focus, time and duration of the tour to suit your group and schedule.

Group Refreshments
If your visit is more leisurely you may like to partake of refreshments in our lovely Regency Tea Rooms on the second floor. Serving real leaf tea, home made cakes and light snacks, Tea Room Manager Stephanie and her friendly team will be delighted to see you.
Special 'Out of Hours' Visits
For larger groups of 45 or more, for your comfort, we recommend out of normal hours visiting, of either before 9.45am or after 4.30pm. By arrangement, in the evening we can accommodate groups who have the added bonus of exclusive use of the Centre. We can also arrange, out of hours special interest talks; previous events have included, musical evenings with light supper, demonstrations on tea making, costumes and the language of the fan. Prices for bespoke events are available on application.
School and Further Education visits
We can cater for most ages and abilities of students, tailoring our introductory talks to suit your group’s educational needs. Whichever novel is being studied it is bound to be the favourite of one of our guides. For a really excellent Jane Austen experience how about including a walking tour with a visit to the centre. Our Northanger Abbey or Persuasion walk is an ideal way of bringing the novels to life.
