Default Letters to Alice by Fay Weldon

I am working through Letters to Alice: On First Reading Jane Austen by Fay Weldon.
Weldon is a huge Jane Austen fan and the book so far is very interesting. She uses a metaphor of a city and it seems a little hard to follow so far but maybe thats because I am not really into it yet.

Weldon is also know for her screenplay adaptation in 1980 of Pride and Prejudice. Which I find to be wonderful.

Has anyone read Letters to Alice? I would love to hear some other opinions
